The Philippines’ wind energy sector has reached a new milestone as Alternergy Holdings Corporation’s 128MW Tanay Wind Project moves forward toward power generation.
The project has completed key electrical infrastructure development, including the energization of its transmission facilities, marking an important step toward commercial operations.
Located in Rizal Province, the Tanay Wind Project features advanced 8MW-class wind turbines and is expected to generate approximately 283.5 GWh of clean electricity annually once fully operational, supporting the Philippines’ renewable energy targets and strengthening energy security.
The successful progress of this project highlights the accelerating growth of wind energy development in Southeast Asia. With increasing demand for clean power, countries across the ASEAN region are creating new opportunities for wind developers, technology providers, EPC companies, investors, and supply chain partners.
