Thailand's Wind Energy Ambitions Continue to Grow

Date:2026-07-15

Thailand's renewable energy transition is gaining new momentum.

Wind Energy Holding Co., Ltd (WEH), Thailand's leading wind power developer, has officially broken ground on its new 89.7 MW Dan Khun Thot Wind One (DKT1) project. Once completed, the project will support WEH's expansion from 1,016.1 MW to its long-term target of 2,000 MW of renewable energy capacity.

This milestone reflects more than the growth of a single company—it highlights Thailand's continued investment in wind power, grid infrastructure, and a more sustainable energy future. As new projects move forward, opportunities are expanding across the entire wind energy value chain, from turbine manufacturing and components to EPC services, digital solutions, and energy storage.

As one of ASEAN's fastest-growing renewable energy markets, Thailand is becoming an important destination for companies looking to expand their presence in Southeast Asia.

AWE-ASEAN Wind Energy Expo will bring together wind energy manufacturers, developers, EPCs, utilities, investors, and policymakers from around the world to explore new partnerships and business opportunities in the ASEAN market.
