Southeast Asia’s Wind Energy Momentum Continues to Build in 2026

Date:2026-01-24

The Southeast Asian wind energy market is entering a new phase of steady growth and regional collaboration. According to recent reporting by Philstar, Citicore Renewable Energy Corp. (Philippines) and Singapore-based Levanta Renewables are moving forward with the development of nearly 200 MW of onshore wind capacity across Luzon and the Visayas. The projects, scheduled for completion between 2027 and 2029, highlight increasing confidence in wind power as a long-term solution for energy security and decarbonisation in the region.

This partnership reflects a broader trend across ASEAN:
  • Stronger cross-border collaboration
  • Growing project pipelines in onshore and offshore wind
  • Rising interest from regional and international investors
  • Increasing integration of wind with storage and grid solutions
As more large-scale wind projects progress from planning to execution, Southeast Asia is rapidly becoming a key market for wind energy development, technology deployment and supply-chain cooperation.
