Regional Wind Energy Growth: Citicore’s Pangasinan Wind Project Highlights ASEAN Momentum

Date:2025-12-23

Recent developments in the Philippines continue to signal growing confidence in wind power across Southeast Asia. Citicore Renewable Energy Corporation’s subsidiary, Citicore Wind Pangasinan 2 Inc., is advancing an 80 MW onshore wind project in Pangasinan Province, part of the country’s expanding renewable energy landscape. This project is expected to support clean electricity generation for Luzon and contribute to broader decarbonization goals as it progresses toward late‑2026 commissioning.

This momentum reflects increasing investor and developer interest in wind energy throughout the ASEAN region, where governments and industry players alike are exploring diversified energy mixes that balance sustainable growth with energy security.

At the same time, countries like Thailand are strengthening policy frameworks and mechanisms to nurture wind and renewable energy market expansion, supported by initiatives that encourage private sector engagement and direct renewable power procurement.

Connect & Collaborate at AWE – ASEAN Wind Energy Expo 2026

To support this regional transition and facilitate meaningful dialogue across the wind energy ecosystem, we’re excited to highlight the upcoming:

AWE – ASEAN Wind Energy Expo 2026
IMPACT Exhibition Centre, Bangkok, Thailand
25–27 March 2026

This event will bring together developers, technology providers, investors, policymakers, and project partners active in onshore and offshore wind, grid integration, and renewable energy solutions across ASEAN and beyond.

Whether you’re tracking project trends like Pangasinan’s wind development or exploring partnership opportunities in Thailand’s clean energy landscape, the expo offers a platform to exchange insights, share innovations, and build connectivity across a rapidly evolving market.

Why this matters for ASEAN markets

Wind project pipelines in the Philippines and neighboring nations signal growing regional deployment activity.

Policy evolutions in countries such as Thailand help shape business environments that attract investment and technology collaboration.

Events like AWE 2026 create valuable opportunities for industry stakeholders to learn, network, and innovate together.

Looking forward to seeing the ASEAN wind community engage on shared goals and opportunities.
