Industry Update | Another Southeast Asia Wind Power Milestone

Date:2025-12-08

A new 100 MW onshore wind project in the Philippines has just gained momentum: Levanta Renewables and Triconti Windkraft Group have signed an agreement to jointly develop the Atimonan Wind Power Project in Quezon Province, Luzon. The project — awarded under the country’s GEA-4 auction — is slated to start commercial operation in 2028.

This development marks a significant step forward for wind energy in the region, underscoring growing investor confidence in Southeast Asia’s renewable energy transition and highlighting the expanding wind-power market beyond traditional markets. The project’s scale and backing from a regional renewable-energy platform reflect a broader trend: wind energy is becoming a central pillar of sustainable power generation across ASEAN nations.

Against this dynamic backdrop, we are excited to announce AWE – ASEAN Wind Energy Expo 2026, which will take place:
Date: March 25–27, 2026
Venue: IMPACT Exhibition Centre, Bangkok, Thailand

The Expo aims to bring together wind-power developers, turbine and component manufacturers, EPC contractors, investors, utilities, and policymakers from across Southeast Asia and beyond. It offers a unique opportunity to:
Showcase and discover wind-power and supply-chain opportunities in ASEAN and regional markets
Network with project developers, investors, technology and parts suppliers
Seize the growing demand for clean energy infrastructure across emerging markets in Asia

As projects like Atimonan emerge and reshape the regional wind-energy landscape, now is the time to position your company or organization for growth and collaboration.
